It's a one-pan recipe and in less than 30 minutes, you'll have a delicious meal (I can't get enough of those Mexican seasonings) that's also the best for leftovers or meal prep.


2 How to make chicken fajitas

Once you have the fajita marinade ready, the chicken fajitas come together quickly. Just follow these simple steps:


Season the chicken. Generously sprinkle fajita seasoning on both sides of the chicken and use your fingers to press it in.

Cook the chicken. Heat a large skillet over medium heat and lightly coat with a drizzle of olive or avocado oil. Fry chicken breasts for 7-8 minutes on each side. Then remove it from the pan and let it rest for a few minutes before cutting it into slices.

Fry sweet peppers and onions. While the chicken is cooking, cut the bell pepper and onion into thin slices. Then fry them in the same pan over medium heat for a few minutes until they caramelize. You're basically making fajita vegetables.

Mix together. Add the chicken back to the pan, squeeze fresh lemon juice over it, and mix everything together.

Complete it. Serve immediately with tortillas and toppings.

▢2 tablespoons olive oil

▢1/2 tablespoon ground cumin

▢1 teaspoon garlic powder

▢1/2 teaspoon paprika

▢1/2 teaspoon oregano

▢1/2 teaspoon salt

▢A quarter teaspoon of pepper

Add the fajita seasoning ingredients to a small mixing bowl and mix together.

Mix fajita seasoning in a bowl.

Heat the oil in a large frying pan over medium heat. Fry chicken breasts for 7-8 minutes on each side.

While the chicken is cooking, cut the bell pepper and onion into thin slices.

Cut the bell pepper into slices.

After you finish cooking the chicken, put it on a plate and let it rest for a few minutes. Add the bell pepper and onion to the same pan over medium heat and sauté for 4-5 minutes, stirring frequently.

When the bell peppers are almost done, cut the chicken breasts into strips.

Add the chicken back to the pan, add fresh lemon juice, and stir everything together.

Serve immediately with tortillas and toppings such as sour cream, pico de gallo, and guacamole.
